And ... we have a winner!

It's all over! Congratulations to Kathryn Tappen, the winner of CSTV's inaugural Walk-On Tryouts. The 22-year-old Morristown, N.J. resident outlasted 100 competitors, including nine other finalists, in the two-day event to win a sports broadcasting opportunity with CSTV.  Kathryn was a four-time Academic All-American and Big East Academic All-Star at Rutgers (track and field), and owns the school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase.

"This has been the most incredible experience in my life, and the perfect first step toward my career goal of being a sportscaster," Kathryn said after her victory. "Being surrounded the past two days by so many other aspiring sportscasters made me realize how difficult it is to make it in this business. The talent I saw was just incredible."

During Thursday's finals, the contestants were thrown into an intense job interview, asked to prepare and then perform their own written copy (timed on site), and hit with sports and industry trivia from the panel of celebrity judges: CBS's Bonnie Bernstein, CBS's Gus Johnson, former offensive lineman turned broadcaster Brian Baldinger and WFAN's Sid Rosenberg. Eventually, two finalists were chosen from the pack and asked to complete one final task: interview ex-college basketball star Rebecca Lobo in a mocked-up live setting, for one last chance to impress the distinguished panel.

Check out some of Thursday's behind the scenes action.

Coming soon  ... WE WANT YOU to watch clips from the remaining nine audition tapes and vote for a "Wild Card Runner-Up" who will also make an appearance on CSTV!! Stay tuned to CSTV.com for details.
