Tryouts take center stage...

Contestants, camera crews and reporters lined the wall outside our Chelsea Piers studios, as the potential future sports broadcasting stars stepped up to the stage for their chance to fulfill their dreams. Click here to see the finalists. Here is a glimpse of the first-round festivities...

Contestants began lining up as early as 5:30 a.m. for their audition.
 

  For the first day of the tryouts, some of CSTV's own, including Gideon Cohen (Talent Coordinator) and Billy Stone (Program Development) came out to judge the contestants.
 

  Participants got a feel for what it's like to work in front of the camera and under the lights.
 

  One of 10 lucky participants advancing to Thursday's final round, Matt Rodewald was the first person on line. He arrived around 5:30 a.m.
 

Everyone had an opportunity to narrate some taped game action from the CSTV studio.
 

  WB11 brought out a crew from its morning news show to cover the event live and to speak with some lucky contestants.
