CONNIE ELLETT WINS 33RD ILLINOIS JUNIOR GOLF TITLE

Incoming freshman golfer Connie Ellett took first place in the 33rd Illinois Junior Golf Championship after shooting a two-under par 74 at the University of Illinois Orange Course in Savoy earlier this week.


Ellett, who will join her sister Taylor on the Northern Illinois University women's golf team latter this month, is a second-generation Huskie. Taylor and Connie's mother, Sue, was a member of former head coach Pam Tyska's first women's golf team in 1986.


Connie was a four-year letterwinner at Hampshire High School and was named team most valuable player all four years. A three-time 2A state qualifier, she placed 25th as a sophomore, 23rd as a junior and runner-up as a senior.She is a two-time Big Northern Conference Champion and a Fox Valley Conference Co-Champion.


HUNLEY CONTINUES HER GOLFING CAREER

WGOLF-BaileyKimCongratulations to senior women's golfer Kim Bailey, who shot the lowest round of her career, Tuesday at the Ball State Cardinal Classic. Bailey fired a 74, just two-over par and finished the tournament tied for 32nd.
