COFFMAN ON THE END OF BIN LADEN

Coffman-Jake 2.jpgLike all Americans, former NIU football player and Marine Corps veteran Jake Coffman was happy and excited about the demise of Osama bin Laden. Coffman, who joined the Marines out of high school because of the 9/11 attacks. He shared his thoughts and emotions with Ryan Wood of the Daily Chronicle when hearing the news the world's most wanted man was finally brought to justice.

ANOTHER ALL-BOWL TEAM FOR COFFMAN

Coffman-Jake.jpgJake Coffman has been named to another all-bowl team. Coffman was one of two defensive ends in the nation to be named to ESPN.com's 2010 All-Bowl Team. He joins Ohio State defensive end Cameron Heyward, Auburn's Nick Fairley, and Corey Liuget of Illinois on ESPN.com's front four after his performance against Fresno State in the uDrove Humanitarian Bowl. This is the second all-bowl team honor for Coffman. Earlier this week, he was named to CollegeFootballNews.com's 2010 All-Bowl Team.
