Get an inside, in-depth look at how SEC players, coaches, and fans prepare for game day in the first installment of "Mercedes-Benz Presents College Football's Open Season" at 2 p.m. ET Saturday on MyVLT, a sister channel of WVLT. The program, produced by Intersport, will feature 'mic'd up' practices with Tennessee's Butch Jones, Georgia's Mark Richt and Florida's Will Muschamp, an inside look at Texas A&M's 'Midnight Yell,' night games at LSU's 'Death Valley' and more.
"Mercedes-Benz Presents College Football's Open Season" is a two-part series highlighting the best of the 2013 SEC college football season. The first episode, airing at 2 p.m. ET Saturday on MyVLT, will provide fans a mid-season tour around college football's power conference, which has produced seven-straight National Champions and four of the last six Heisman Trophy winners.
The hour-long special will re-air Monday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
On Saturday, much of the sports world was focused on men's basketball and the NCAA Final Four in Atlanta. Still, there was very much a Tennessee presence surrounding the game's coverage.

In New Orleans, UT junior guard Meighan Simmons and freshman forward/center Bashaara Graves were honorable mention selections for the WBCA All-America Team. Those honors were announced on Saturday.
Also in New Orleans, a future Lady Vol was in action in the WBCA All-America Game. After helping her West squad to victory at the McDonald's All-American Game earlier this week, Mercedes Russell helped the Black defeated the Purple, 74-70, at New Orleans Arena.
While Russell didn't earn MVP honors as she did in Chicago at the "Mickey D's" game, she pulled down seven rebounds and two assists to contribute to her squad's victory on Saturday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys Game Center
It the battle of the NFL Vol tight ends when Luke Stocker and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1) head to Dallas to face off with Jason Witten and the Cowboys (1-1).
Last week Stocker earned the start at tight end, but registered no stats. Witten earned the start and made 4 catches for 58 yards, becoming just the third tight end ever to make 700 career catches. In 10 seasons, Witten has made 702 career catches. He is also the second player in Cowboys history to make 700 receptions (Michael Irvin 750).

St. Louis Rams vs Chicago Bears Game Center
Scott Wells' St. Louis Rams (1-1) head to Chicago for a meeting with the Bears (1-1).
Last week, Wells has earned the start at center for the second week in a row for the Rams. However, Wells injured his foot early into the game and will be out for about 6 weeks.

This is the battle of the NFL Vol linebackers as Parys Haralson's undefeated 49ers (2-0) head to Minnesota for a meeting with the Marvin Mitchell and the Vikings (1-1).
Haralson, of course will not be playing after suffering a season ending injury in the preseason. Mitchell was not active last week after suffering a sprained ankle. But looks to return in a starting role for the Vikings this week.

Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns Game Center
The Buffalo Bills (1-1) head to Cleveland for a meeting with Montario Hardesty and the Cleveland Browns (0-2) Sunday.
Hardesty saw action in week two, but registered no stats for the Browns.

New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins Game Center
Kevin Burnett, Tony McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins (1-1) remain at home for the second week in a row when the New York Jets (1-1) come to town this week.
Burnett notched four tackles last week against the Oakland Raiders while McDaniel was not active.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New Orleans Saints Game Center
Eric Berry, Dustin Colquitt and the Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) will head to New Orleans for a meeting with Jabari Greer, Turk McBride and the 0-2 Saints. Winner earns its first win of the season, loser falls to 0-3.
Berry finished last week's game with Buffalo with four tackles while Colquitt had 7 punts for a 44.7 avg. and landed 2 punts inside the 20.
Greer returned to action for the first time in 2012 for the Saints finishing with one tackle. McBride was not active.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Washington Redskins Game Center
Jason Allen and the Bengals (1-1) head to Washington for a meeting with the Redskins (1-1).
Last week Allen was not active as he is still recovering from an injury suffered during the preseason.

The 2-0 Atlanta Falcons head to San Diego for a battle with Aubrayo Franklin, Robert Meachem and the 2-0 Chargers.
Last week Franklin tallied one tackle against the Titans while Meachem played but registered no stats at wide receiver.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Arizona Cardinals Game Center
The 2-0 Eagles head to Arizona for a meeting with Dan Williams and the 2-0 Cardinals. Last week Williams played for the Cardinals creating disruption up front, but registered no stats.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Oakland Raiders Game Center
Ramon Foster and the 1-1 Steelers head to Oakland for a meeting with Nick Guess, Denarius Moore and the 0-2 Oakland Raiders Sunday.
Foster earned the start at right guard for the Steelers for the second week in a row last week. While on the other side of things, Moore saw his first action of the 2012 season finishing the game with three catches for 67 yards. Nick Guess, did not play.

Houston Texans vs. Denver Broncos Game Center
Arian Foster and the Houston Texans head to Denver for a meeting with Robert Ayers, Britton Colquitt, Malik Jackson, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
Last week against the Jaguars, Foster became the leading rusher in Texans history putting up 28 rushes for 100 yards and a touchdown. He also tacked on six catches for 37 yards. He upped his career total to 3,286, passing Domanick Davis who had 3,195 rushing yards for the franchise from 2003-05.
For the Broncos, Ayers played but notched no stats, Colquitt booted five punts for a 50.6 avg. dropping three inside the 20 yard line, Jackson also played but tallied no stats and Manning finished 24-for-37 for 241 yards with one touchdown and three INTs.

The Sunday Night football game pitts two AFC contenders against each other as Jerod Mayo and the New England Patriots (1-1) head to Baltimore for a meeting with Morgan Cox and the Ravens (1-1).
Mayo finished last weeks game with nine tackles to give him 22 for the season, third in the NFL. Cox took part in all of the long snaps for Baltimore last week against the Eagles.
