Happy Wednesday #VolNation! Tuesday marked the start of two-a-day's for #Team119. Alvin Kamara spoke about how the multi-faceted UT rushing attack is shaping up.

Three Defensive Backs Earn CFPA Honors

A trio of Vols defensive backs were all named to the College Football Performance Award Honorable Mention List on Sept. 9, 2013.

Brian Randolph (two), Justin Coleman and Cameron Sutton combined for four of the Vols' five interviews on Saturday in the 52-20 win over Western Kentucky. All three players picked off the first pass of their careers in the game.  

The five interceptions were part of the Vols seven turnovers gained on Saturday, the most by Tennessee since 1984.

Sutton's First To Have Stripe Come Off

After six days of practice, freshmen defensive back Cameron Sutton became the first Vol to have the black stripe removed from his helmet. His 'big brother' Brian Randolph had the honor of removing it at the team's morning meeting. Coach Jones announced it on his Twitter account. 

All new players in the program wear a black stripe on their helmet until they are deemed worthy of having it removed by their upperclassman brother.

Thursday's Tennessee Football Briefing (8/1/13)

It's Reporting Day for the Vols on Thursday! The team will hit Haslam Field for the first training camp practice under Butch Jones on Friday afternoon.
