This Day In #Vols History (Nov. 11)

On Veteran's Day in 1916, Tennessee held its first-ever Homecoming game as the Vols handed Vanderbilt a 10-6 loss in Knoxville.
 

On Nov. 11, 2000, the #Vols scored 35 points in the first quarter on the way to a 63-20 romp over Arkansas. Travis Henry ran for 214 yards.

This Day In #Vols History (Oct. 5)

The Vols have an outstanding 11-2 record in 13 all-time games on Oct. 5. 

Tennessee has won its last four games played in the date, most recently, winning an epic 6-overtime thriller with Arkansas in 2002. Jason Witten caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Casey Clausen in the sixth overtime to give Tennessee the win. Clausen completed 19 of 28 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns.
