It's summertime in East Tennessee, far removed from hoops season, but there's plenty going on involving past and current members of the Lady Vol basketball program.

The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame is hosting its 2013 induction festivities this weekend, and 2001 inductee Holly Warlick will be joining another well-known hall-of-famer in co-hosting a fundraiser.  The Lady Vol skipper will team up with none other than UConn head coach Geno Auriemma, himself a 2006 inductee, to co-host a gala reception on Saturday at the East Tennessee Historical Society. The event is sold out.

Pat Summitt was recently announced as a 2013 inductee into the FIBA Hall of Fame. She and 11 others will be enshrined at FIBA Headquarters in Mies, Switzerland, (just outside Geneva) on June 19. She joins two other Americans being inducted, including former Georgia women's standout Teresa Edwards and David Robinson, a graduate of the Naval Academy and a long-time NBA standout.
