Pitt women's basketball will host its annual Hometown vs. Hunger game on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. when the Panthers host Rider at the Petersen Events Center. Fans who bring a non-perishable bag of food to the game will receive admission for just $1. Additionally, season ticket holders will receive a Panthers Team Store coupon or a $1 ticket for a guest. The food collection will take place in both the Main Lobby, as well as Concourse B.

Members of the Pitt women's basketball team delivered more than 5,000 pounds of food last week to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Star 100.7 FM broadcast live from the Petersen Events Center for a week to help bring in donations for their Pack the Pete promotion. The Panthers will continue to encourage food donation when they participate in their Hometown vs. Hunger game on Dec. 16 at the Petersen Events Center against Rider. Fans bringing a non-perishable item to the game will be admitted for just $1.
